New PerformAire™ Aerators Offer Superior Performance at Any Depth

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 22, 2007) — Jacobsen®, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announces two new additions to its aerator line with the introduction of the PerformAire™ 60 and the PerformAire™ 80.  Both are three-point mount, variable depth aerators that offer the flexibility to vent or core-aerate large areas of turf in a short amount of time.

Jacobsen's PerformAire aerators are the most versatile machines in their class, available with solid or coring tines and capable of depths ranging from one to 16 inches. Depth can be easily adjusted using the included hydraulic top link.

Aeration with the PerformAire reduces turf compaction and allows oxygen to get to the deepest parts of the root system promoting deeper root growth and thus a more robust plant.

The ability to efficiently aerate fairways, greens, and sports fields fosters healthier turf, more new growth, and ultimately better playing conditions for any golf course or sports venue.
